Five Times More

833 Post Road East

Every project we undertake is a balance of artistic endeavor, functional requirements, environmental responsibility, and financial considerations. We do not seek any signature style but rather allow the goals of the project to guide us to an optimal four-dimensional solution. Our experiential niche allows a focus on collaboration with commercial clients to realize their business aspirations through architectural intervention.

The new 833 Post Road East represents our outcome-based approach. A tired building sitting along one of Westport’s prime commercial corridors was a single-tenant restaurant for over 50 years. A restaurant that size was no longer viable in today's market and had fallen into disuse. A thoughtful design and planning process made way for a modern, vibrant and adaptable building that attracted five new and distinct tenants where once there was one.

Through a site-responsive reconfiguration of the facades and floor plans, the single tenant building was partitioned into five unique commercial spaces with direct access to parking. Each of the tenant storefronts is easily identifiable from the Post Road, and each boasts a vibrant facade and a unique reason to visit.

By dividing the original building into five new spaces the opportunity to create a more diverse experience was captured. The hope for the build was to inevitably fuel the success of the tenants that occupy the spaces and create a commercial hub that consumers can easily access.
